Oh my heavens I am in LOVE with these Vegan Sloppy Joe's. They are my new favorite go to. They are unbelievably tasty. In fact, I made them and traditional sloppy joes for the meat eaters in my family, and my husband preferred the Vegan variety. What I love is that they are NOT made with those processed fake meat alternatives....which I do not believe are healthy. No, these are a perfect Builder food.
I eat them with my Almond Flour Crackers instead of bread or a bun and of course, pair the combo with Eliminators for Functional Balance.
Best yet? They contain NO ingredients in which you would need to worry about consistent refrigeration, so they make a perfect take to work lunch!
I absolutely love these simple and crunchy crackers. They are grain free a great Builder Function, and easy to make. They go great with anything typical for crackers. My favorites...sunbutter, or hummus, and lately....I use them to scoop my Vegan Sloppy Joes rather than using a bun or gluten free bread.
Keep this recipe around...it's a great replacement for typical Congestor foods!
They are congestors, but without grain. They are the kind of congestor that is GREAT for little sick ones as they can thicken up diarrhea and slow vomiting or are a great first food after being sick.
These muffins fit the builder and congestor categories, even though they are made with APPLES ( an eliminator) the apples are baked and provide a reductive sugar through cooking and so become a congestor. Pair with fresh orange juice, green juice, and sliced fruit to provide a balanced Food FX snack or meal.
